Responsibilities of Authors

  • Ensure the originality of their work and properly cite all sources.
  • Avoid unethical practices such as plagiarism, data fabrication, or duplicate submission.
  • Disclose any potential conflicts of interest or funding sources.
  • Participate in the peer review process and provide corrections or retractions when necessary.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

  • Provide objective, constructive, and timely feedback on manuscripts.
  • Maintain confidentiality and avoid using unpublished data for personal gain.
  • Disclose any conflicts of interest and recuse themselves if necessary.

Responsibilities of Editors

  • Make impartial publication decisions based on the quality and relevance of submissions.
  • Ensure a fair and transparent peer review process.
  • Address ethical concerns such as plagiarism or conflicts of interest promptly and transparently.

Addressing Ethical Misconduct

MJER follows guidelines from the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to investigate and resolve allegations of misconduct. Submissions found to violate ethical standards will be rejected or retracted, and authors may face a publication ban.
