The Makran Journal of Educational Research (MJER) strives to provide a fair and transparent refund policy to address situations where payment for services, such as article processing charges (APCs) or subscriptions, is involved. This policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be requested and granted.

Article Processing Charges (APCs)

Authors are required to pay APCs to cover the cost of editorial processing, peer review, and publication. Refunds for APCs are considered under the following circumstances:

  1. Manuscript Rejection:
If a manuscript is rejected during the initial screening or peer review process, the APC, if paid, will be refunded in full.

  2. Withdrawal by Authors Before Peer Review:
If authors withdraw their manuscript before the peer review process begins, the APC will be refunded in full, minus any applicable administrative fees.

  3. Withdrawal by Authors During or After Peer Review:
If authors withdraw their manuscript during or after peer review, refunds may be granted at the discretion of the editorial board. Partial refunds may apply depending on the extent of editorial work completed.

  4. Errors in Double Payment:
If authors accidentally make double payments for APCs, the duplicate payment will be refunded in full.
