Transforming Curriculum Design: Bridging the Gap Between Theory and Practice
Main Article Content
Abstract
Curriculum design plays a crucial role in shaping the educational experience, ensuring that students gain relevant knowledge and skills. However, a common challenge in education systems worldwide, including in Pakistan, is the disconnect between theoretical concepts taught in classrooms and the practical skills required in the real world. This paper examines the gap between theory and practice in curriculum design, particularly in the context of Pakistan's educational system. It explores how curriculum frameworks can be restructured to incorporate real-world applications, and it proposes strategies for aligning academic theories with practical experiences. The article also highlights the role of educational policies, faculty training, and technological integration in bridging this gap. The findings aim to provide insights for educators, policymakers, and academic institutions striving to enhance curriculum relevance and effectiveness.
